J.S.S. Institute of Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences is a part of the renowned J.S.S. Mahavidyapeetha, Mysore, that has more than 300 educational institutions in diverse fields such as Engineering, Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, including a Polytechnic for the physically challenged, which is a collaborative effort with The World Bank. It is recognised as the largest private effort in the country that is synonymous with quality education and social reconstruction. Sponsored and nurtured by the great sages of Jagadguru Shri Veerasimhasana Mutt, Suttur, Mysore District, the Mahavidyapeetha is headed by Jagadguru Shri Shivarathri Deshikendra Maha Swamigalavaru, our guiding force and mentor. The ancient Peetha is actively involved in developing religious and spiritual thoughts, culture and literature, especially in the field of education.
JSS Institute of Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences (JSS INYS) is a deliberate step towards creating awareness on Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences through quality education and extending Holistic Health Care for those who lead a stressful lifestyle, owing to modern day pressures. JSS INYS intends to set the highest of standards in naturopathic treatment by adhering to sheer professionalism and compassion. As for the Institute, the best of teachers and most relevant syllabi ensures JSS INYS to reach its hallmark in imparting this education. |

J.S.S. Institute of Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences was established in the year 1997 in the picturesque landscape of Ooty by J.S.S. Mahavidyapeetha, Mysore. The institute offers a 5½ year degree course in complementary and alternative medicine i.e., Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences (B.N.Y.S). This is affiliated to the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai and is recognised by the Central Council for Research in Yoga and Naturopathy (CCRYN) under the Government of India Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, New Delhi. Recognised by Govt. of Tamil Nadu. The students will have the advantage of putting the theory they learn into practice since the college is attached to a 60 bed Nature Cure and Yoga Hospital. This would enable them to benefit from a complete clinical and practical training. The unique hospital is well known for its treatment versatility and the facilities provided to patients. Treatments are based strictly on natural treatment modalities, with a judicious blend of modern diagnostic methods.
| Presently located at Ooty (a scenic hill station of the South India), is the heritage building that houses the corporate headquarters overlooking the Ooty Race Course in a campus that is inducive to the pursuits of naturopathy, with a calm and serene environment for yogic practices. The JSS INYS campus offers the student an atmosphere that is a mix of the modern with the traditional. The College has under construction a proposed Campus in the city of Coimbatore. |

The college has separate, well-furnished dormitories for men and women. They are aesthetically designed with optimum convenience. The dormitories are strategically located to ensure that the resident students have easy access to the classrooms and the dining hall. Each room is provided with the necessary furniture and TV. The hostel mess serves nutritious and hygienic vegetarian food with emphasis on a natural diet. The Campus has both internet and phone facilities to enable quick communications. |
