Symphony 2007 Report

Symphony 2007, a talent fest and competition was conducted by the ROTRACT Club of OOTY at YBA Hall on 11th Aug 2007 for inter-colleges in the Nilgiris district The programs of the day were started at 9.30 am with the Rotract Prayer.

The events are divided into (1) Academic events and (2) Cultural events

The colleges are asked to pick a lot to know the entry no. our college has got the chance to perform in the third entry

Elocution:

Topic: THE INDIAN FORM OF DEMOCRACY IS VIBRANT OR NOT
Participant: Ms. S.Sharmila, Final year BNYS.

She put her view that Indian democracy is not vibrant. Her excellent performance fetches the second prize in the event.

Dumb Charades:

There are four rounds which comprises of MOVIES NAMES, PERSONALITIES NAMES, BOOKS & CURRENT EVENTS. The brilliant & outstanding performance of our students in this event gives the first prize for our college.

It was a fabulous performance and once again our college got the first prize in this event.

Mr. Symphony:

He performed a Yoga Dance and a mimicry show. The question put before him is “is it necessary to conduct programs like symphony?” His answer is yes because it gives an opportunity to bring the talents out. His extraordinary performance made the judges to crown him as Mr. SYMPHONY of the year.

The over all performance of our students was excellent and our college stood in the second place in the SYMPHONY-2007.
