Rules and Regulations - General

Students are responsible for regulating their own conduct and respecting the rights and privileges of others. The students are also expected to abide to the rules and regulations of JSS INYS in a manner compatible with the function of the institute. Failure to show respect and violating the norms will result in disciplinary action. The rules and regulations are below:

1. The students should respect and appreciate the premises and be responsible to maintain the property of the college.
2. The students are strictly instructed not to involve in any form of ragging in the college or hostel premises.
3. Under any circumstances, the percentage of attendance for every subject should not be less than 75%. Failing will result in disqualification for appearing in the university examinations.
4. As part of curriculum, daily morning yoga practices and evening prayers are mandatory to attend. This carries attendance and internal assessments marks.
5. The parents will be informed about the attendance and other academic progress of the student on monthly basis.
6. The use of cell phones is strictly prohibited in the college premises.
7. The institute will observe students' behaviour and involvement in any unethical activities would be addressed with punishment or any suitable action.
8. All students are expected to participate in academic activities such as workshops, seminars, conferences and yoga and naturopathy camps whenever organized. This carries attendance.
9. Prescribed dress code (uniform): (i) track suits for yoga practice, (ii) white aprons for theory and other practical classes, and (iii) Blazers on formal occasions.
10. Boys should not to attend classes with the following: unshaven beards, long hairs, casual wears like half sleeve shirts, denim clothes, casual footwears like sports shoes, slippers, sandals etc.
11. Girls also should not attend classes in casual clothes and footwear
12. All academic fees should be paid on or before specified dates, failing will result in any disciplinary action.
13. As this being a residential course, the students who come as day scholars are also advised to stay in the hostel, however this may be re-considered based on circumstances.
14. The Principal or his designee of the college has the discretionary power to inform student's family about any offence and the penalty imposed, if he/she deemed that this information will ultimately be beneficial to the improvement of the student's behaviour.

For Boarders

1. Involving in any kind of illicit activities is strictly prohibited and advised to sustain strict discipline.
2. Smoking, Non-vegetarian foods and consumption of alcohol is strictly forbidden.
3. Each boarder is responsible for his or her valuable possessions as management and institute administration is not liable for any mislaid.
4. No visitors/guest can be allowed for food and stay without written consent from the concerned authority.
5. As per the schedule, timings for breakfast, lunch and dinner must be followed with discipline.
6. Use of cell phones in dining hall is strictly prohibited.
7. It is expected that all the students should maintain noble silence during the study hours.
8. All fees must be paid within the dates specified, if not the student is not allowed to have food in the mess until the dues are cleared.
9. No boarder would be allowed out of the college without a written authorized note from the parents. Kindly point out a contact telephone number in the letter.
10. Girls are permissible for weekly outing only for restricted timings, which have to be followed strictly with intimation to the security.
11. All the boarders are advised to maintain their rooms well organized and clean as there will be periodic inspections.
12. Any damages to the hostel property will be subjected to penalty.
13. Using of tainted language and ragging of juniors will be subjected to disciplinary action.
14. Difficulties/complaints if any may be lodged to the Warden/ Principal of JSS INYS.
15. Students are advised to follow the norms of JSS INYS. Deteriorating to observe the rules will have to meet the consequences.
